The guard is stainless steel and the handle is a piece of extremely rare spalted curly Hawaiian Koa that has been stabilized for durability. You won’t find a piece of Hawaiian Koa wood like this every day. As with all custom knives from Big river Forge, this blade also comes with a custom belt carry sheath that was hand finished and stitched by Bladesmith Charles Carpenter to perfectly fit this knife.
