At the heart of Big River Forge is of course the blacksmith shop. The basics of everything we do starts with the traditional methods of the blacksmith. These same basic tools and methods have been utilized by the world’s blacksmiths for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. These same ancient traditions are what draw us to what we do. My father is a blacksmith and his father was a blacksmith. It’s simply who I am.
